All Smiles For Sean & Charlotte After Moving Into New Liverpool Home

Civil servant Sean Miley reckons he and fiancée, Charlotte, gave themselves the best Christmas present ever after moving in to their very own first home.

It could have been chaotic, getting the keys to their brand new property at Redbridge Park, in Fazakerley, just a few days before the big festive day.

“But with a lot of pre-planning and organisation Charlotte and I had a great move and were well settled so we could enjoy our first Christmas together in our fabulous new home,” says Sean, 25. “It was lovely and made the day even more special.

“And we got 2017 off to a wonderful start too, inviting all our family over for a party on New Year’s Day.”

Sean and Charlotte, 23, bought a three-bedroom Amberley style home at the Redrow development after Sean slept in his car overnight to secure the property when the first phase of homes was released.

“We knew what we wanted and didn’t want to miss out so when I finished work I drove to the development, parked up outside and stayed there all night. And I am so glad I did. The house is everything we imagined and more,” says Sean.

“Only a month in and we are so comfortable. It’s great to have our own space to unwind in after work and we now plan to chill for a year before we start organising our wedding.

“I know some people are reluctant to be among the first to move in to a new development but we don’t really notice the building work going on behind us and it is fascinating to watch it coming on and seeing a community being created. I’m taking photographs as it progresses so it will be really nice to look back on.

“We moved in on the same day as our neighbours, who are a lovely family with three children, and the dad was behind me in the queue after I’d camped out which is uncanny and means we already knew one another. We get on really well which is great.”

Redbridge Park, in Fazakerley, is one of a number of  Redrow schemes to be launched within the Liverpool Housing Partnership, a collaboration between Redrow, Liverpool City Council and Liverpool Mutual Homes to create 1,500 new homes across the city over a five year period.

This particular development, on the site of two former schools, will eventually be home to 60 of Redrow’s three and four-bedroom Arts & Crafts inspired Heritage Collection homes.

Claire Jarvis, Redrow sales director, says: “Moving into a brand new home is exciting, especially when it is your first, and we are delighted that Sean and Charlotte are so happy in their Amberley property.

“The development has been hugely successful from the first day we launched it and buyers love the fact that it offers the best of both worlds with easy access to Liverpool city centre and to the rest of Merseyside and, indeed, the north west.”

The development is being built on the former site of Redbridge and Bank View high schools, both relocated, and is ideally situated for commuters and families.

Fazakerley train station is around 20 minutes away on foot for trains into Liverpool Central. There are shops and amenities locally, including Kirkby Golf Course and, of course Aintree Racecourse, home of the famous Grand National.  Liverpool city centre is just 20 minutes away by car and there is good access to the M57 motorway.

There are currently three and four-bedroom properties available from £222,995 and all benefit from the government backed Help to Buy scheme offering 20% equity loans which are interest free for five years. The equity loan reduces the initial outlay and means customers can typically reserve with a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage from a lender of choice.
