Bedford features 3 shopping centres which provide a wide range of high-street and independent retailers. There are markets most days in Bedford town, plus specialty markets every month. Milton Keynes is a popular shopping destination with big name stores all under one roof. It is also home to a large outdoor market that is open 5 days a week.
The Marston Vale Millennium Country Park and Forest Centre is a fabulous mix of woodland, grassland and lakes. The whole family can enjoy the surroundings by walking, biking, horse riding, boating and relaxing in the café. It has been awarded a Green Flag Award for 9 years running.
Marston Preschool is within walking distance from your home. There are a number of other lower schools nearby including, Church End Lower School, Shelton Lower School and Broadmead Lower School. For higher education there is Marston Vale Middle School a short drive away and Redborne Upper School and Bedford Academy slightly further afield.
One of the many benefits of living at Marston Park is the excellent transport links. Just 15 minutes on the A421 is Bedford, whilst a 5 minute journey southbound is Junction 13 of the M1. Bedford train station is just under 9 miles away and from there you can travel to Milton Keynes, Leicester and Northampton with ease and a direct train to London St Pancras.
