We’ve been building quality new build homes since 1958, and are now recognised as the highest quality national house builder.

We established the first Barratt property development company in Newcastle upon Tyne and grew the business steadily, laying the foundation for the growth that followed. We were listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1968.

Local Area

From Exeter head south on the A38 for 50 miles and go through 1 roundabout. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A374. Turn right onto A387 and follow for 3 miles. Continue onto the B3253 for 2 miles, then turn left and the development will be clearly signposted.
Looes quaint lanes and streets boast a great selection of independent traders selling everything from designer merchandise to electronics to fishing rods! There are traditional food retailers a butcher, bakery, greengrocer and fishmonger as well as two small supermarkets one of which sells newspapers and magazines. Larger superstores such as Morrisons can be found at nearby Liskeard.
Looe Community Academy Sports Centre offers a comprehensive range of sports and leisure interests for juniors and families. All facilities are available on a pay as you play basis including badminton, netball, fitness classes and table tennis. In Plymouth you can visit the Theatre Royal and Pavilions which host excellent productions and concerts and also the 3D multiplex cinemas.
Looe Primary School offers a rich and varied curriculum for 4-11 year olds. For secondary education Looe Community Academy caters for 11-16 year olds. Saltash and Liskeard schools offer sixth forms whilst City College Plymouth, Plymouth College of Art and University of Plymouth are excellent establishments for further education.
