Developer Information

We’ve been building quality new build homes since 1958, and are now recognised as the highest quality national house builder.

We established the first Barratt property development company in Newcastle upon Tyne and grew the business steadily, laying the foundation for the growth that followed. We were listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1968.

In 1972, a programme of rapid expansion followed, seeing a series of acquisitions and the creation of new companies.

Local Area

If you're visiting the site from the M6, exit at Junction 32. When you reach the roundabout, take the thirs exit, signoposted 'Garstang A6'. Follow this road for another 7 miles and you will reach The Links on your right hand side.
Garstang is a pretty market town found at the foot of Bowland Fells, a true countryside gem. Known for its floral displays and many Britain in Bloom awards, the beautifully decorated village has so much to offer.
Pay a visit to Garstang and you'll find a town rich in ancient history and character. Found 11 miles north of Preston and 10 miles south of Lancaster it couldn't be better placed to enjoy all of Lancashire's beautiful countryside. The High Street features characteristic weinds which date back to medieval times. And the weekly market, stretching the length of the high street, is held every Thursday, and has been since 1310. For a day out with the kids, why not pop to Old Holly Farm? A working dairy farm with an indoor play barn is sure to keep you smiling - and it's only a couple of miles away! If you want something a bit more active, you could try the Murder Mystery Trail, perfect for your little detectives.
Close to The Links you'll find a number of great Primary and Secondary schools. Garstang St Thomes' C of E Primary School is next door to the site and Garstang Community Primary School is also just over a mile away - both of which would make the school run very easy! Garstang High School is just over a mile in the other direction so even when the little ones grow you won't have to travel too far.
The Links is found on Kepple Lane, Garstang and is easily reached from the south via the M6 at junction 32, or from the north at junction 33. There are regular bus services throughout the town connecting to Lancaster, Preston and Poulton-le-Fylde. The nearest train stations are also at Lancaster and Preston, both roughly 10 miles away.
