Developer Information

We established the first Barratt property development company in Newcastle upon Tyne and grew the business steadily, laying the foundation for the growth that followed. We were listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1968.

In 1972, a programme of rapid expansion followed, seeing a series of acquisitions and the creation of new companies.

Local Area

From the M1, if you exit at junction 14 and take the A509 to Milton Keynes you will get to a roundabout. From there, take the exit to Broughton on the A5130. Follow the road along and you will see Brooklands on your left hand side.
The centre:mk is less than four miles away, where you will find a superb range of shops, from high street stores, to designer boutiques and even an open market. The luxury shpping outlet village of Bicester is a short drive away.
The nearby Xscape centre has plenty of leisure activities, from ten pin bowling, skiing, wall climbing, a cinema and much more.
