Developer Information

We established the first Barratt property development company in Newcastle upon Tyne and grew the business steadily, laying the foundation for the growth that followed. We were listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1968.

In 1972, a programme of rapid expansion followed, seeing a series of acquisitions and the creation of new companies.

During the 1990s the Barratt Group grew organically, establishing an unrivalled track record of consistent growth. In April 2007, Barratt acquired Wilson Bowden PLC and today has a network of 25 housebuilding divisions throughout Britain, selling new build homes under the Barratt, David Wilson and Ward Homes brands.

Local Area

From M54 exit at J6 and take the A5223 Lawley Drive towards Lawley. After approximately 400 metres turn left on Synders Way. Eastfield is located on the right hand side.
Telford is a vibrant town with an abundance of retail outlets, fantastic eating establishments and sophisticated wine bars. It is also benefiting from a £250 million regeneration plan for the town centre which includes the pedestrianisation of the road surrounding the shopping centre and the creation of additional cafes, bars and shops adding to the feel of a true heart to the town centre.
If you fancy something more than a stroll in the countryside, there are plenty of leisure activities to take advantage of in Telford. From ice skating, skiing, swimming, a ten-screen cinema, concert venue, Oakengates Theatre, Telford Town Park and Steam Railway and the Racquet Centre which hosts many prestigious sporting events there really is something for everyone.
There are four excellent primary schools - Captain Webb, Lightmoor Village, Dawley CofE and Aqueduct primary schools all located close by. Three secondary schools - Phoenix School, The Madeley Academy and Thomas Telford School all provide an excellent level of secondary education.
The area has excellent commuter links to the M54 motorway, providing easy access to Birmingham and the surrounding cities. From Telford's main railway station, there are regular links to Birmingham and London.
