We established the first Barratt property development company in Newcastle upon Tyne and grew the business steadily, laying the foundation for the growth that followed. We were listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1968.

In 1972, a programme of rapid expansion followed, seeing a series of acquisitions and the creation of new companies.

SAT NAV: LE3 3NQ. Exit the M1 at Junction 21a. From here use the left 2 lanes to exit towards Braunstone Frith/Kirby Muxloe/B5380. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A46. Continue for 0.5 miles then at the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Ratby Lane/B5380. Then after 0.5 miles, at the next roundabout take the 1st exit and stay on Ratby Lane/B5380. Continue for a mile then turn right onto Hinckley Rd/A47. Continue for 1.4 miles then turn left on Beggars Lane and onto the consortium. From here, if you take the right before Barratt Homes' Sales Centre, we're located at the foot of the hill - just past the Davidson's phase 1 marketing suite.
Enderby is home to Fosse Shopping Park, one of Britain's biggest out-of-town shopping parks, which features a Sainbury's, M&S and Asda. The nearby village of Enderby features a newsagents, florists, beauty salon, delicatessen, library, cafe, a local pub and two Co-operative stores.
A Hollywood Bowl and a Vue Cinema are located close by at Meridian Leisure Park. Enderby is home to a local leisure centre with swimming pool, gym, squash courts, sports hall and 5-a-side football. Residents are located close to Junction 22 of the M1 and M69 Motorway. Leicester Train Station is just 20 minutes drive, which has direct trains to London in under 90 minutes. Meynell's Gorse Park and Ride offers services into Leicester city centre every 15 minutes (between 7am-7pm) and is just a 5 minute drive.
