Developer Information

We established the first Barratt property development company in Newcastle upon Tyne and grew the business steadily, laying the foundation for the growth that followed. We were listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1968.

In 1972, a programme of rapid expansion followed, seeing a series of acquisitions and the creation of new companies.

During the 1990s the Barratt Group grew organically, establishing an unrivalled track record of consistent growth. In April 2007, Barratt acquired Wilson Bowden PLC and today has a network of 25 housebuilding divisions throughout Britain, selling new build homes under the Barratt, David Wilson and Ward Homes brands.

Southport is a quaint town that has an abundance of history, character and convenience. In amongst the old-world architecture, youâ??ll find modern shops, bars and restaurants, not to mention a number of great schools for your children. Youâ??re also in a great spot for transport links, making getting out and about so much easier.
Southport has a rich history as a leisure destination on the shores of the Irish Sea. Miles of sandy beaches border the town lined with Victorian period architecture, restaurants and shops. Southport offers easy access to the cities of Liverpool, Preston and Blackpool and a host of local attractions, including the world-renowned Royal Birkdale Golf Club.
Residents of Pavilion Gardens are well served when it comes to educational institutions, as there are a number of schools in the neighbouring area catering for children of different ages, from primary through to high school and college. Younger children can attend the St John's C of E Primary School on Rufford Road or Larkfield Primary School on Preston New Rd - both in Southport. Older children can be enrolled at Burscough Priory Science College in Ormskirk.
Southport is a coastal town, so those travelling to and from Pavilion Gadens by car can take one of the many scenic roads inland to join the major North West motorway network. For those preferring to travel by rail, the nearest major metropolitan areas of Liverpool and Manchester are available via the frequent and accessible services from Southport's stations.
