We established the first Barratt property development company in Newcastle upon Tyne and grew the business steadily, laying the foundation for the growth that followed. We were listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1968.

In 1972, a programme of rapid expansion followed, seeing a series of acquisitions and the creation of new companies.

Quarter Jack Park is located on this road. From the A31 coming from the East, exit at Canford Bottom Roundabout, and take Leigh Road (B3073) towards Wimborne. In Wimborne Minster town centre you will find a number of local boutique shops and pharmacies including Boots, Superdrug and Fatface. Dolphin Shopping Centre is a 25 minute drive away and home to over 130 stores and restaurants, including favourite high street brands such as Primark, Next, New Look and River Island.
Stay active at Canford Sports Centre located just 10 minutes away, with fitness classes, an indoor swimming pool, dance studios and tennis courts. Alternatively visit the Tivoli theatre in Wimborne, built in 1936 as a cine/theatre and continues to show both films and live stage shows today. There is also plenty of fun for all the family at Tower Park Leisure Centre including Splashdown Water Park, a cinema, tenpin bowling, kids soft play, gala bingo and a range of restaurants.

The A31 provides car routes to Poole, Bournemouth and Southampton. The New Forest is a 20 minute drive away in the East, and Dorchester and Weymouth are in the West. Regular buses run from Wimborne Minster to Poole and Bournemouth. Bournemouth Airport is located a 20 minute drive away and provides international flights throughout Western E
