   Living in Cairneyhill

Located in a proud region with a distinct identity, Cairneyhill is a small village in west Fife. The village grew in the 18th century as a settlement for local weavers, and indeed today much of the village’s architecture is a mix of old weaver’s cottages and modern housing.

Residents in Cairneyhill are able to commute to cities such as Glasgow, Stirling, Edinburgh and the town of Kirkcaldy due to the village’s location - great for those looking to work in or visit the larger cities and towns in the area, but who want to experience living a peaceful village life. Kirkcaldy lies just 22 miles away, whilst both Stirling and Edinburgh can be found approximately 20 miles away from the village. Glasgow is not much further away either, at just 35 miles.

Amenities in the village include shops, post office, garden centre, pub and a primary school, meaning daily excursions away from the village for the everyday bits and pieces are not necessary.
