Cowdenbeath is a town and burgh in west Fife, Scotland.

Residents living in the town can take advantage of things such as Cowdenbeath Golf Course and the public park, as well as Leuchatsbeath Meadow and Woodland in the nearby area. Other amenities in the town include the Cowdenbeath leisure centre, pharmacy and supermarkets, such as Morrisons and Iceland. The town is also served by three primary schools, Cowdenbeath Primary School, Foulford Primary School and St Bride’s Primary school - a Roman Catholic primary school. Cowdenbeath is also home to Beath High School, which was the secondary school of the talented Scottish crime writer Ian Rankin. 

Cowdenbeath also has its own rail station, with direct services running through to Edinburgh Waverley Station - just a 45 minute journey away. The town is also well served by bus, with bus routes serving the town itself as well as the surrounding areas. For those looking to drive however, Cowdenbeath is just 18 miles north of Edinburgh, 10 miles from Kirkcaldy, 25 miles from Perth and 28 miles from the city of Stirling, meaning travelling through to other cities and towns by car is no trouble for residents of Cowdenbeath.
