Living In Hemel Hempstead

Hemel Hempstead is a large town in Herefordshire that was developed as a new town after the Second World War. As a new town, the grand design was to include a parade or square of shops in every district, which was known as a neighbourhood centre.

The Canal and River Trust maintains the Hemel Hempstead portion of the Grand Union Canal, which is a popular route for narrow boats and other pleasure crafts. The railway station provides regular services to Euston, Croydon and the Midlands.

The City of London is just over 30 minutes via the London Midland rail network and Hemel Hempstead also enjoys close proximity to the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Colne Valley Regional Park for a change of scene.
