New Builds in Derby

Derby is a city in the East Midlands, located in southern Derbyshire and is the county’s only city. Derby has excellent connections to Manchester, Nottingham, Sheffield and Birmingham thanks to having one of the most centralised positions in Britain.

Nottingham by train or car is just under half an hour away, and the city is just south of the Peak District National Park - which is just under an hour's car journey away. There are several other parks close to Derby too, including Kedleston Park and Markeaton Park which offers residents plenty of green, open space to enjoy.

The city also packs in amenities and attractions too. Derby hosts an annual open air concert at Darley Park, and it's home to Derby Jazz, one of the UK's leading live Jazz organisations. The Derby Playhouse regularly receives praise for its productions and there are several sports clubs in the city to be enjoyed too.

Derby doesn't fall short when it comes to shopping and night-life either, with three distinct areas to discover. Cathedral Quarter and St Peter’s Quarter form the historical parts of the city, and are dominated by grand Victorian buildings. Here you’ll find independent coffee shops, the market and boutique shops. And last but not least, swing by the Intu Derby shopping centre for indoor shopping and the cinema.

Derby station has excellent rail connections, with a journey to London Paddington taking 2 hours whilst London St Pancras can be reached in just 90 minutes. Regular services also run to Leicester and Birmingham. The M1 connects the city with London in the south and Sheffield and Leeds in the north, whilst the A6 connects Derby with Leicester, Manchester and Carlise.
