   Living in Bonnybridge

Situated close to the Bonny Water, Bonnybridge is a small town in the Falkirk council area of Scotland. The town developed greatly during the 19th century in line with Scotland’s industrial revolution. Industries such as paper milling, saw milling and whisky distilling were established in the town, as well as iron foundries.

In the surrounding area of the town, a very well preserved section of the Antonine Wall, once the most northern frontier of the Roman Empire, can be found. Today some great walking routes can be found at the site, and visitors can enjoy taking advantage of visiting this World Heritage Site.

For other places to visit, Glasgow is also not far away from the town of Bonnybridge, approximately only a half hour drive away down the M8. The town is a great location for those looking to work in the city, but who prefer to live away from city life itself. Another of Scotland’s great cities is also well within travelling distance from Bonnybridge - Edinburgh is only an hours drive away.

Much closer by to Bonnybridge is the larger town of Falkirk, no more than a 15 minutes drive away by car. Here you’ll be able to find a shopping centre, central park, cinema, Asda and Tesco superstores and a number of high street shops, meaning residents of Bonnybridge are never far from useful amenities. Bonnybridge is also situated closeby to two golf courses - the Bonnybridge golf course and the Falkirk golf course, great for anybody with an interest in playing the sport.
