    Living in Kirkcaldy

Famous for its Links Market - Europe’s longest street fair held each Easter - Kirkcaldy is a town located on the Fife Coast.

Current residents speak highly of Kirkcaldy, in particular noting the town’s two beautiful parks - perfect spots for those who like to spend some time outdoors. However outdoor pursuits are not just limited to time spent in either park, residents of Kirkcaldy can also take advantage of walks along the beach, as well as taking a trek through pretty woodland area. The centre of town is also home to a range of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars, and there is also the added bonus of a Farmer’s Market which is held each month. The town is also home to the Adam Smith Theatre, which throughout the year offers a varied programme of comedy, theatre and music. Kirkcaldy galleries can also be found in the town, and in recent years has undergone a major refurbishment. The gallery features a range of nationally important and stunning artworks for residents of the town and visitors alike to enjoy.

Kirkcaldy has both primary and secondary schools, many which fall into the good, very good and even excellent categories, making the town a great location for those looking to move with children or for those considering a family in the future. The town also has great transport links, with trains running through to Edinburgh, Dundee and Perth in less than an hour. For those that don’t fancy the rail connections however, St Andrews, Edinburgh, Dundee and Perth can also be reached easily by car from the town too - with journeys again all taking less than one hour, making Kirkcaldy a great base for those looking to pay a visit.
