About This Development

About the Development

It may have historic cobbled streets and the original wooden stocks in the Market Square, but don’t be fooled; Poulton le Fylde is no sleepy backwater. With excellent commuter connections by rail and road, superb shopping close by and a choice of OFSTED ‘Outstanding’ primary and senior schools within walking distance, you’ll find everything you and your family need for modern living within easy reach.

Oldfield Park will offer an exclusive selection of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments as well as 3 and 4 bedroom homes in Poulton le Fylde, from our award winning Heritage Collection. These are some of our finest homes providing generous space and superb specification, yet you and your family could move in for just 5% deposit, with lower monthly mortgage repayments, thanks to the government backed Help to Buy scheme.

Amenities

For both your weekly grocery shop and your day to day needs, you’ll find a large Booths supermarket not far from the development. Poulton le Fylde Post Office is close by on Breck Road.

For doctors, register with Lockwood Avenue Surgery, just ¼mile away (Sat Nav: FY6 7AB, call 01253 886878). Dentists are equally close at Hardhorn Road Dental Practice (Sat Nav: FY6 7SR, call 01253 883079)

Dining

From friendly restaurants to family gastro pubs, there’s plenty on the menu when it comes to dining out in Poulton. Bistro Italia, Mews Thai, China Red and Ricos are all within easy reach of Oldfield Park, with Pulci Pizza, Boca Café bar, Cinco’s Mexican, Espanol and the amusingly titled Thai by Night all highly recommended.

Local family friendly gastro pubs include the Miller Arms, the Bourne Arms, the Black Bull and the Seven Stars, along with the highly rated Castle Gardens and Thatched House.

Education

Oldfield Park is privileged to have no less than three OFSTED ‘Outstanding’ primary schools not too far away, The Breck Primary, St John’s Catholic Primary and St Chad’s CofE Primary. Also the ‘Outstanding’ Hodgson Academy, a mixed comprehensive, with the ‘Good’ Baines School just a short bus ride away.

With such a fine selection of local state schools, you may not feel the need to invest in independent education, however, if you prefer the private sector, Kirkham Grammar and the Rossall School in Fleetwood both offer excellent alternatives, although all involve a significant journey.

Leisure

When it comes to leisure, Blackpool is truly unrivalled, with everything from the Winter Gardens and Grand Theatre to an Odeon Cinema, plus countless bars, restaurants and clubs. You’ll be spoiled for choice for a great family day out, with everything from the animals of Blackpool Zoo to the thrills of Blackpool Pleasure Beach; the stunning tower to the three traditional piers, all close at hand.

For a quieter day out, there are miles of glorious coastline to explore, with endless safe, family friendly beaches perfect for a fun summer afternoon.

The Fylde Coast is famous for its high class golf courses, including Royal Lytham St Annes and the DeVere Heron’s Reach Golf and Country Club, with Poulton le Fylde Golf Club right on your doorstep. Nearby Poulton YMCA offers a range of sports facilities.</p>

Shopping

Poulton has held a market in the town square since 1348, and still holds regular markets, including a farmers’ market every forth Saturday of the month. The town also has a fascinating array of quirky independent shops hidden away amongst its cobbled streets.

For a more extensive shopping trip, head for Blackpool, with the huge Houndshill Shopping Centre, or jump a train to Preston for the full city shopping experience. Freeport Fleetwood is home to endless designer bargains, or you can browse the exclusive boutiques of Lytham St Annes at the foot of the Fylde Coast.

Transport

Poulton lies between the main A585 and A586 routes across the Fylde Peninsula, just 3½miles from Blackpool, 6miles from Fleetwood and 16miles from Preston. The M55 is just 6miles away, linking you to the M6 and the extensive North West Motorway Network beyond.

Trains from Poulton Station, just a short walk from The Pavilion, will whisk you into Blackpool in just 8minutes to save you having to park in town. Trains to Preston take just 18minutes, with up to four services per hour, with connections to Manchester taking just 1hour 10minutes in total.

Mastermove

From old to new in 3 easy steps – and help
towards estate agents' fees

What is Mastermove?

Mastermove is a great way to make moving home simpler. It enables you to buy a brand new Redrow home, while we take care of selling your current property for you; even helping out with a contribution towards your estate agent's fees. With Mastermove, we'll arrange the valuations, appoint an estate agent to conduct your home's marketing activity and take the paperwork off your hands too.

Who is it for?

For all homeowners looking for a hassle free way to sell their home. Unlike Part Exchange, Mastermove covers any home, whether it's a flat, maisonette or ex-council house, whatever the value relative to the price of your new Redrow home. So whether you want to move up, downsize or even step sideways, Mastermove could be the best move you could make.

How does it work?

Mastermove helps you move into your brand new Redrow home in three simple steps:

  • Step 1 - Find your Redrow home and register on Mastermove.
  • Step 2 - We arrange 3 valuations and agree a price that will sell your house fast. We then instruct up to 3 of our approved estate agents to vigorously market your property and we’ll also agree how much we pay towards your estate agent’s fees.
  • Step 3 - With your old house sold, you can buy your brand new Redrow home and move in as soon as it’s ready.

What should I do next?

For an easier way to move, talk to a Redrow Sales Consultant today about how Mastermove can help get you moving.

The contribution towards *estate agent's' fees will vary depending on the property being purchased. Please liaise with our Sales Consultants for full details. Please note, if having sold your property through Mastermove, you decide for any reason you no longer wish to proceed with the purchase of the Redrow home, then you become responsible for the estate agent's fees and costs. If a customer completes on their related sale prior to the completion of their Redrow home they must pay the estate agent fees in full and the Redrow fee contribution will be reimbursed upon legal completion. Subject to build stage.

What is Advantage?

Advantage gives you access to our selection of perpetuity plots. In order to make the most of it, you'll need to meet certain criteria, such as being a first time buyer, and be able to demonstrate a specific need for the home you'd like to buy. This might be a growing family or a need to be in the local area for a new job.

If you qualify, you could receive a sizeable discount on the Redrow home you'd like to purchase.

Who can use it?

If you're a first time buyer, and you're currently renting or perhaps living with parents, and have struggled to get on the property ladder, get in touch about our Advantage offer.

What's a perpetuity plot?

A Redrow home that's on a perpetuity plot is one that's designed to remain affordable throughout the lifetime of the house. This means that once you've purchased it with the Advantage discount, the only requirement is that when you come to sell the property, you pass on this discount to a buyer in a similar position to the one you were in when you bought it.

This arrangement ensures the house remains an affordable one to families or young professionals, helping first time buyers get on the property ladder. A home that's in a perpetuity plot may be in an area that you may not have considered due to it being out of your price range.

The aim of the scheme is to provide a discount to buyers that are really in need of the home, but couldn't otherwise afford it.
